More than an annual event, the Expo connects young people, families, educators, military organizations, industry leaders, and community partners through education, innovation, culture, wellness, leadership, and meaningful opportunities.

Their circumstances may differ, but every young person deserves dignity, recognition, and the opportunity to build a promising future.

PILLAR ONE — RECOGNITION
Being Seen Matters.
Through the Torch of Care Recognition & Awards Brunch, we celebrate the compassion, leadership, service, achievements, and contributions of young people.
Special recognition through The Unseen Among Us™ provides opportunities to honor foster and kinship-care youth without requiring them to disclose personal circumstances or identify as caregivers.
Recognition is not simply about presenting an award. It is about affirming that every young person's voice and future matter.
PILLAR TWO — OPPORTUNITY
Recognition Must Lead Somewhere.
Through partnerships with schools, youth-serving organizations, community leaders, and appropriate service providers, we seek to connect young people with educational resources, mentorship, career preparation, independent-living support, and housing-navigation opportunities.
For eligible young adults transitioning from foster care, these connections may include referrals to agencies administering existing housing assistance programs.
Our goal is to help build pathways that extend beyond the ceremony.
TURN CARE INTO CREDIT™
(TCCSH)
Because Caregiving Is a Contribution Worth Recognizing.
Turn Care Into Credit™ provides a framework through which eligible teen caregivers can document and verify qualifying caregiving contributions.
The initiative supports conversations with schools and participating organizations about how documented caregiving may be considered for service-learning, community service, or other appropriate recognition, subject to each institution's requirements.
It is designed to make caregiving contributions more visible—not to guarantee academic credit.

The Military Child World Expo grew from a commitment to create meaningful opportunities for military-connected children to be recognized, celebrated, and connected.
Through previous Expo gatherings, youth programs, recognition ceremonies, educational conversations, creative showcases, and community partnerships, that commitment has continued to evolve.
The national teen caregiver recognition tradition began in 2024 and enters its fourth year in 2027.
Today, the World Expo is expanding its reach through a national tour while preparing for its next global gathering.
