Stewards of Service: Rising Men & the Legacy of Leadership is a dedicated national symposium honoring military-connected men, young men, teens across generations, from young boys discovering their identity to adult veterans and military fathers raising the next generation of leaders.

Mothers holding the line stateside while husbands, boyfriends, fathers, brothers, and uncles fought conflicts across the globe. Fathers doing the same, deployed while families managed at home. Children processing separation, displacement, responsibility, sacrifice. Siblings holding each other through moves. Young people navigating identity shaped by service they didn't choose but inherited.

I've lived in seven places. Four countries. Attended nine schools if you count the two mid-year transfers.

Every parent hopes their child will grow into someone capable of shaping the world for the better. For military families, that hope often carries additional layers of complexity. Military children grow up in dynamic environments that expose them to different cultures, communities, and experiences.

The question before us is not simply how we celebrate our past, but how we prepare the generation that will shape what comes next.

Supporting Military Children When the World Feels Uncertain Military children are observant. They listen when the news plays in the background. They notice when routines shift. They sense when adults grow quieter or more focused.

As America approaches its 250th anniversary, the nation finds itself at a crossroads, reflecting on the values that shaped its past and imagining the leadership that will guide its future. In this moment of national reflection, one community stands uniquely positioned to illuminate the path forward: women shaped by service.

The Digital Learning Lab is a high impact, interactive environment designed specifically for military connected teens and students.

A medal is a symbol of completion. It marks the end of service. But for the Military Child, service never ends at a ceremony. It continues: at the next duty station in the next classroom during the next deployment in households where children learn to read the room before they learn to drive A medal would have suggested finality. What military children needed was continuity.

But for 250 years, there has been another American who served, without a uniform, without a rank, without a medal, and without a home. The Military Child

Traditional STEM events often ask students to stand behind tables and explain what they built. STEAM SUITED™ turns that model inside out.

STEAM SUITED™ was created around a simple but powerful idea: learning becomes transformational when it is personal. When a child wears their innovation, curiosity turns into confidence and imagination turns into action.

Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter reminded us that caregiving connects every one of us. “There are only four kinds of people in the world, those who have been caregivers, those who are caregivers now, those who will be caregivers, and those who will need caregivers.” Join The Promise We Carry  by sharing where you are on your caregiving journey. Even as they carry this promise, military-connected children often face a challenge few outsiders understand.
