The Military Child World Expo 2026 (MCWE) Celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary is a three-day tribute to military children, caregivers, and families. Accredited media will have access to ceremonies, symposiums, youth-led summits, performances, and opportunities to engage with leaders and participants from around the world.

Accreditation is open to:

  • Print, broadcast, and online journalists

  • Photojournalists, and videographers

  • Accredited bloggers and digital influencers in military, education, family, and youth sectors

  • Media production crews covering news, features, or documentaries

 

Media Accreditation Benefits

  • Complimentary Media Pass for designated MCWE 2026 event days

  • Access to the Expo Media Room (Hyatt Regency) with workspace, Wi-Fi, and refreshments

  • Reserved seating in Independence A (Main Stage) for keynotes and symposiums

  • Photo/video access to select performances and ceremonies (per guidelines)

  • Advance press materials, speaker bios, and event schedules

  • Opportunities to request interviews with speakers, sponsors, and youth leaders (pre-scheduled)

April 26, 2026: At Fashion Centre at Pentagon City (A Simon Mall) | Arlington, VA

  • Passes require a government-issued photo ID and accreditation confirmation email

2 / Access Guidelines
  • All keynote sessions, symposiums, and public performances are open to accredited media.

  • Youth-only workshops in Independence B (Promise of the Six Pavilion) may require special permission for recording or photography.

  • Media must follow Expo consent policies when photographing or filming minors.

3 / Photography & Filming Policy
  • Media coverage is approved for editorial use only.

  • Flash photography permitted only during opening and closing ceremonies.

  • Consent required for one-on-one interviews or posed images with children and families.

4 / Media Room
  • Location: Hyatt Regency Crystal City – Independence Level

  • Open April 25, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Includes Wi-Fi, charging station, workspace, and refreshments

  • Daily press briefing: Starting February 1, 2026 at 9:30 AM with Media Relations team

5/ Code of Conduct
  • All accredited media must display credentials at all times.

  • Respect privacy of attendees and youth participants.

  • Entry to restricted zones is not permitted without prior approval.

  • Noncompliance may result in credential revocation.

6 / Post-Event Access

Accredited media may request:

  • Approved photos and video highlights

  • Event transcripts and press materials

  • Follow-up interviews with designated speakers

The Military Child World Expo (MCWE 2026) is a mission-driven, nonprofit educational initiative dedicated to supporting the entire military-connected community, including active duty, National Guard, Reserve, veterans, retirees, Department of Defense/War, civilians, and their families.
